FAQ – Your Questions Answered

How long are the lessons?
All lessons are a minimum of one hour. I find this gives us time to actually get into the music and work on meaningful progress without rushing.

Do you offer in-person lessons?
Yes — I offer in-person lessons in London when availability allows. Just reach out via the contact form to check times and location options.

Can I learn online?
Absolutely. Many of my students take online lessons via Zoom or similar platforms. It’s flexible and works great for both beginners and advanced players.

Do I need my own cello?
Yes. Having your own instrument is essential for practicing and progress. If you’re not sure what to get, I’m happy to advise on rentals or beginner cellos.

Can I start as an adult?
Definitely. Many of my students are adults — some complete beginners, others returning after years away. I tailor the lessons to where you are, not where you're "supposed" to be.

What kind of music will I learn?
Primarily classical, but I adapt based on your interests. Whether you're working toward a specific piece or just trying to find your voice, we shape it together.
